The sense of achievement that comes with mastering an instrument is truly unmatched. Having spent over 25 years as a professional musician and educator, my mission is to help my students experience that same fulfilment.

My teaching experience spans all levels, from primary school to further education. I am deeply familiar with the N4, N5, and Higher Music syllabuses, including the complexities of composition and aural disciplines. I approach every lesson with total commitment, utilising high-quality, bespoke materials tailored to each student’s needs.

While I am classically trained, I am equally proficient in electric, acoustic, and bass guitar. My personal passions range from Rock and Blues to Funk, Soul, and Finger-style. This versatility is reflected in my students' success: I maintain a 95% pass rate for ABRSM theory and a 98% pass rate for LCM and Trinity practical grades. Many of my students have transitioned from my classroom to professional careers in music.

Outside of music, I am a lifelong learner. I hold a BA (Hons) in History and am currently finishing off a BSc (Hons) in Psychology and Counselling. I also enjoy cinema, reading, quizzing and spending time with my daughter. My personal taste in music is necessarily eclectic, but I have a particular love for rock, classical, soul and alternative genres. One of the nicest parts of my job is being introduced to new ideas and music through my students.
